  • Commission and oversee the design of various book or product elements from freelance vendors from presentation stage through final pre-press: e.g., interior design, cover design, multimedia package design.

  • Create, design and/or modify 4-color book covers, interiors, graphic art pieces and computer illustrations needed.

  • Managed and directed designers as well as freelancers on specialty editions and projects to maintain look and feel of magazine.

  • Worked closely with art staff and editors on visual packaging of Special Edition issues and individual articles.

  • Maintained quality control and increased efficiency in the production of the specialty editions.

  • Worked directly with the Senior Art Director, editorial, copy, and production departments to achieve all art, copy, and production deadlines.

  • Conceived, produced, and directed photo shoots in-house and on location.

  • Contributed computer illustrations, artwork and photography to enhance the readability of the magazine.
